Yes!  We help children of any age.

It is our policy that a parent or guardian (the one in the family who controls the food) must be on a nutrition program themselves prior to a child getting on a program. We will test a child to see if they are a candidate, but a program cannot be started without a parent on a program as well. There are usually food eliminations that are an easier transition if a parent has already gone through them. The testing method that we use requires a child to use their arm as the strength indicator. Younger children are not able to do the testing by themselves so we need a parent to act as the “indirect tester” and they must be on a nutritional program so they don’t interfere with the testing results. 2020 Update: We do now accept children on a program without a parent on a case-by-case, pre-approved basis. Every body system relies on each other to function properly. When one body system starts to not function optimally, others will kick in to help out. If nothing is done to help repair the sub-optimum body systems, a person’s health continues to get worse as time goes on.

Symptoms then appear in order to alert you that something is wrong. These are like your check engine light coming on in your car. You could mask the symptom with medications (like putting a piece of duct tape over the check engine light) and pretend it wasn’t alerting you of an issue. This form of response, does not address what is needed to be repaired. Medication and surgery often only mask the symptoms. To address the root cause to any health challenge, you must be willing to provide your body specific genuine replacement building blocks for it to be able to repair itself.  Always remember that FOOD is superior at rebuilding a healthy body. If baby’s main source of nutrition is mother’s milk, we have experience ensuring mom is able to supply the best nutrition for baby.

We believe for children, it is crucial they get used to eating clean diets and taking specific food based supplements. It is imperative to get a handle on their nutritional needs in order to avoid future illnesses.  

It is our policy that a parent or guardian must either be on a Natural Health Improvement program prior to bringing in their children or be willing to complete our recommended readings & shop to improve their children’s dietary intake. The reason for this is due to the need for changing food intake. Younger children are not able to control what food is being cooked, served, picked up, etc. A parent/guardian that is on a natural health improvement program has a better handle on what the household is eating and therefore a child’s experience is far better with faster results.  

Please plan 90 minutes for your initial consultation depending on the severity of your case. For women, please avoid wearing a dress as our baseline tests will require access to your torso. Our testing and muscle testing is non-invasive.

We will uncover if your body has specific challenges in healing due to food, heavy metals chemical, immune sensititivies or intolerances. Scars that have not fully healed may also be active and preventing you from healing. 

Your practitioner will guide you through the process with a thorough explanation. Once your results are identified and baseline tests are taken into consideration your practitioner will create a designed clinical nutrition program to meet your bioindividual needs.

Everyone is different and therefore will heal at a different pace. Functional Nutrition is not a band-aid, so our program is not a quick fix. Most people experience a noticeable improvement within the first week or two. However, deep, long-lasting, healing at the cellular level takes time. From our experience, it can take a patient, depending on their current health status, six months to two years to reach optimal health.

As your health improves, it is advised to get tested regularly to maintain the health improvements you have achieved. The frequency of follow up visits depends on the ability of the patient to recognize, then avoid harmful foods and environmental toxins, and how each adversely affects their health.

Gerald Roliz was once a vegetarian and a raw food vegan for a short period of time.  He understands the value of such diets done short-term.

Many of the whole food formulas that we recommend to our clients to help the body rebuild have animal extracts or glandulars in them. In Chinese medicine, there is a saying “吃什麼，補什麼”, which literally translates into “Eat the organ you wish to fortify”.

If a vegetarian or vegan client is willing to take these formulas (if we find the body needs them), we will accept them on as a client. If not, then they will fail to get the results we are used to getting with our clients on a complete nutrition program.

Yes, we work with patients remotely.  You may book your Virtual Initial Consult HERE. 

An Initial Consultation at the NHIC of Idaho with Gerald is $197. A child initial consult with Gerald is $97 if a parent is already on a Natural Health Improvement program. It is approximately 60-90 minutes and includes all testing. This price also includes the Report of Findings appointment (30-45 minutes) done either the same day or on a separate day depending on schedule and practitioner. At the Report of Findings, if you are a Nutrition Response Testing Case, we will go over the program recommendations going forward. 

Virtual Initial Consultations are $297.  Virtual child initial consult is $97 if a parent is already on a Natural Health Improvement program.

When scheduling an Initial Consultation, we require payment upfront to reserve your spot. A $75 fee applies for ‘no show’ or less than 24 hour reschedule/cancellation notice as we require 24 hours to fill spaces with waitlisted individuals.
